Our Story

In November 2020, Brad and his wife Abbey took a trip out to Utah and Arizona for a trip to get away from all of the Covid-19 chaos. During the trip, Brad had some abdominal pains that increased in pain until they got back to Bloomington, Indiana after vacation. After an ER visit, Brad was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer. 11 rounds of chemo and 2 major abdominal surgeries later, Brad was declared NED (No Evidence of Disease) despite being given a year to live. 2 years later, Brad and his family are dedicated to raising money for research to eradicate this disease.

Hester produces fresh, organic produce from local farmers in New York. Even our spices are fresh. Just because pickling is a preservation process doesn’t mean you can use dried-up thyme or week-old asparagus that’s already a little spongy.

We want to give our customers crisp, crunchy and delicious pickled vegetables and fruits. Most of all, we want to expand people’s palates and prove that pickles don’t always come in a green or red variety.
